CLINICAL REPERTORIES

These contain clinical symptoms / rubrics with corresponding group of medicines.

These facilitate selection of remedy on basis of pathological similarity, causation, modalities and concomitants.

Useful in conditions where clinical conditions mask the characteristics of the patient

ORIGIN

Dr. J. Crompton Burnett was the main exponent to bring to light the vast therapeutic treasures that had been lost in the works of Masters. The use of nosological correspondence is one method by means of which a similar remedy may be discovered. He wrote many books on clinical conditions and therapeutics. But he could not write a repertory.

Dr. J H Clarke wrote the first clinical repertory.
