The fifth and final edition of the book was published in
1931 by C .M Boger.
The aim of this book is to simplify the use of homoeopathic Materia Medica so
that the truly curative remedy may be worked out with greater ease and
certainty in a given case. The SYNOPTIC KEY is a combination of analytic and
synoptic methods.

genus of each remedy and thereby help in differentiation.

Synoptic part
Synopsis contains an expression of important and
characteristic features of the most important remedies of homoeopathic materia
medica, with their physiological spheres and activities, modalities and
relationships. In short, it contains the genius of each remedy arranged
alphabetically. The genius of the drug means the strain that runs through every
pathogenic symptom complex.
323 remedies are discussed in this part. Under each remedy at first, the part
affected is given on the left hand side and the modalities given on the right
hand side. Capital, bold, roman letters are used to express the value of
symptoms. Complementary and related remedies are given at the end of the
remedies.

which mean that a particular remedy acts for 3 or 4 weeks
