Dr. S. K. Goel was a TOPPER throughout
his homoeopathic studies – a GOLD
MEDALIST.
He graduated from the
first batch of Bombay Homoeopathic
Medical College [now called as CMP
Homoeopathic Medical College] in 1962
and since then has been associated for
more than 4 decades with the Institute.
He has been a student of
legends like Dr. P. Sankaran, Dr.
Sarabhai Kapadia and Dr. M. C. Batra …..
And has been a Teacher of the legends of
today – Dr. Praful Vijayakar, Dr. Rajan
Sankaran, Dr. Farokh Master, to name a
few. A homoeopathic teacher whose 7
generations of students are now teachers
in our college – a Teacher of
Teachers!!!
He is considered by his
contemporaries and generations of
students as the MASTER of MATERIA MEDICA.
His knowledge of the subject is
unrivalled. A specialist teacher for Comparitive Materia Medica and Clinical
Therapeutics – be it Medicine or
Surgery.
CMP Homoeopathic Medical
College – the premier Institute in the
world and a home for some of the best
Indian homoeopaths, has seen a quantum
leap and progress under the able
leadership of Dr. S. K. Goel and the
support of an able Management. He held
the chair of Dean of the Institute from
5 October 1993 till 9 August 2004.
Dr. S. K. Goel became the
1st Deputy Director –
Homoeopathy in the Government of
Maharashtra, India - the highest post in
Homoeopathy at the State. During his
tenure, he played a major role in the
spread of homoeopathy in the state of
Maharashtra, with the establishment of
many homoeopathic colleges imparting
homoeopathic education.
An excellent all-rounder
– a champion and seasoned cricketer with
accolades in Table Tennis, Badminton and
Carrom.
A mild, generous,
dedicated, soft-spoken man of simple
living and high thinking - Believes that
ACTION SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.
Dr. S. K. Goel has now
retired from active academic life, but
continues to see patients, now for more
than 40 years. |
